Duration: 4 yrs.

Eligibility: Students who have obtained a secondary school education from a recognized board (CBSE/ICSCE/IB & other recognized boards) in any discipline are eligible to apply for admissions.As the medium of instruction is English, a working knowledge of the language is desirable.

Program Objectives: FLD (Fashion and Lifestyle Design)- The most exclusively designed program for UG. Often people confuse this with a conventional fashion design program, where the inputs are only limited to garments. However, IAM's FLD program has the inputs across fashion, beauty and lifestyle covering areas like garments, fashion accessories and lifestyle products as our aim is to make “integrated professionals” for the industry.

Learning Objectives: FLD is more of hands on design oriented program with the thrust on creative and drawing skills, design process and methodology, material exploration and integrating all of them through real life projects and assignments. Along with the theories, the learning happens through real life cluster visits, field trips, industrial visits, study tours to give a much needed thrust and to make the program stand out in comparison to other fashion institutes.

Design Philosophy: The FLD dept. maintains its exclusivity by infusing the concept of “haute-couture” as its design philosophy. The program advocates and encourages the 'individualistic approach' towards design amongst the students. The 'design process', which is being taught in the curriculum is based on the 'customized design' with the inputs on advanced styling, draping, high quality finishing, use of luxury fabrics and extreme attention to detailing, often using time-consuming and executed techniques etc. The students are constantly encouraged to showcase fashion statements of the seasons by creating exclusive couture (high-fashion) garments, lifestyle products etc. Each semester, the department holds “Kritika- a unique platform to showcase the students' creativity and to interact directly with their clients, buyers etc.”

Career Opportunity: Graduates will join the industry as Designers, Assistant/ Junior Designers, Product Developers and Fashion Stylists.
