IAM’s Participation In Multievent Competition

 

The students of Institute of Apparel Management, Gurgaon Participated in the competition named "PREVENT AIDS: AN HIV & AIDS AWARENESS CAMPAIGN" conducted by DENIM CLUB OF INDIA held at IAM, Gurgaon.

  The students of Apparel Design and Merchandising and Apparel Marketing and Merchandising participated in the competition. All the participants were awarded with Certificate of Participation.

POSTER MAKING: NIRJA KUMARI from Apparel Marketing and Merchandising stood first and received a cash award of Rs.1500/-. PUMMY from Apparel Design and Merchandising stood third and received a cash award of Rs.500/-.

T-SHIRT DESIGN: SIDDHANT JAIN from Apparel Design and Merchandising came second and received a cash award of Rs.2000/-
 
     
  Other participants included IIFT, New Delhi; ATDC; EMDI, Noida; Lovely Professional University; M.L.V. Textile & Engineering College, Bhilwara; P.I.T.M., Gurgaon; Technological Institute of Textile & Sciences, Bhiwani apart from textile companies like Ashima group, Bhavya Enterprises, Ess Ess Exports, TAI, World Fashion Exchange and NGO's like Deepti Foundation, CSDI, TARSHI.  
     
 

IAM being an industry sponsored institute has strong and regular contacts with the Industry. Because of its long-standing relationships, many firms come here first to recruit IAM Students. The members of the Executive Committee of AEPC and the members of the Board of IAM Management are all leading exporters or domestic retail industry leaders of the industry who add great value to the IAM brand, apart from providing employment opportunities for the students. IAM’s faculty and staff network throughout the Retail, Design, and Fashion communities through varied industry workshop and business platforms to keep their contacts updated and current. The placement committee at IAM is represented by the faculty and industry professionals. The office acts as a nodal point for all placements related activities and is a repository of required information and resources.

Objective of Placement Committee is to build strong industry interface and to enhance industry interactions- Incorporate the inputs from the export / retail / allied industry members in the design and structure the curriculum and the course content and also in admission and placement process in the Institute. Also aims to develop employability skills of the students by imparting the necessary work life skills by inculcating social and work place sensitivity. Our alumni have been placed at leading fashion and retail industries over past many years.
