“Institute of Apparel Management” promoted by AEPC Society for Human Resource Development under the aegis of Apparel Export Promotion Council is announcing admissions 2010-11, this year there will be admissions for both international as well as Indian pathways, International pathways through RMIT, GBC, University of Wolverhampton & Edexcel, UK and for Indian Pathways through IAM-IGNOU Fashion & Design Management Center for the programmes commencing in August 2010. The institute aims at providing fast track and cutting edge education for managing the Apparel industry in a fiercely competitive era.
Phasing out of the quotas for textile and clothing industry in the world market and opening of the Indian economy to the retail sector has accelerated the pace of globalization of the apparel industry. IAM endeavors to create a new cadre of management professionals who can understand the dynamics of global business environment of the apparel industry. The students are poised to get a unique experience of having international exposure as well as industrial training besides regular classroom teaching. The institute’s leadership and distinguished group of faculty members are geared to offer world class education in all major areas of apparel management with a focus on the business of fashion in the global context.
