| Undergraduate programme designed and developed to meet the industry requirement for design professionals with complete and comprehensive knowledge and understanding of design processes and design management of fashion and lifestyle products. This 4 year programme is structured to provide students with a strong foundation in the basics of design, design processes & methodology, elements & principles of design, history of design, design overview in the first year, and then leading them onward onto product focused design, with a stress on apparel and fashion related lifestyle products including fashion accessories & home products. The final semester of the programme focuses completely on application of the class room learning in the industry to expose students to the industrial process of design and commercially viable product development through a project linked industrial internship and final design project. Duration 4years with an exit option after finishing 3yrs with a BTEC, HND qualification from Edexcel progressing to a final year degree at 167 universities across USA, Canada, UK and Australia. Eligibility Students who have obtained a secondary school education from a recognized board (CBSE/ICSCE/IB & other recognized boards) in any discipline are eligible to apply for admission. Fashion & Textiles Merchandising Undergraduate programme developed in collaboration with the Royal Melbourne Institute of Textiles, and is designed to cater to the growing demands for manpower proficient in product knowledge, design, manufacturing technology for the Clothing and Textile industry. The Fashion & Textiles Merchandising Programme builds upon student skills and capabilities to enable them to become highly employable in the Fashion & Textiles retail and merchandising Sectors. The Programme focuses on the technical skills and theory, required to merchandise and market fashion and textile related products throughout each stage of the supply chain within large scale enterprises. The programme is designed to teach the foundation level of the programme comprising of four semesters at IAM, Gurgaon and Mumbai and final two semesters at RMIT, Australia for a Bachelor of Applied science award. However students who do not wish to proceed to Australia for the final semester can exit the programme after the second year with a BTEC, HND qualification from Edexcel progressing to a final year degree at 167 universities across USA, Canada, UK and Australia. Students can also choose to complete their third year at IAM and be awarded an IAM Diploma, with credit awards to convert to a diploma at the George Brown College, Canada Duration 3 years with an exit option after finishing 2yrs with a BTEC, HND qualification from Edexcel progressing to a final year degree at 167 universities across USA, Canada, UK and Australia. Apparel Marketing & Merchandising Post-graduate programme that provides students with comprehensive training in business and management for the apparel industry, with a focus on developing them as independent solution providers and pro-active managers with strong intellectual, analytical and professional skills. It is an extensive programme that provides the students with a firm grounding in commercial concepts, principles and skills for managing business in today’s global environment; product knowledge required for the apparel business; and relevant and extended work exposure in the industry. | Post-graduate programme focused at providing students with concepts and knowledge in core subjects related to the Fashion products and industry, Fundamentals of Design , Design process & the Business of Fashion, Trend forecasting, Branding & Retailing leading onto an eventual specialization in Management Design based companies. The programme will train students in advanced and comprehensive practical skills and techniques employed for specialized applications in fashion design, product development and design management for the international and domestic apparel sector. The programme has been designed to expose students to both front end and documented studies. The IAM is in advance stage of discussion for progression to Master’s degree at Wolver Hampton UK. Duration : 2 Years Eligibility Graduates who have obtained a bachelors degree or equivalent in Design, Textile Design, Apparel Design and Technology, and Home Science from any recognized university or institute; or relevant industry experience as a product development executive or merchandiser in any discipline are eligible to apply for admission. Career OPPORTUNITY The programme will equip student to enter the industry as knowledgeable and competent professionals who are able to work as Designers/Product Development Executives with in depth knowledge of established design & management systems, product design & sourcing and order execution. |
